Our August members’ meeting started with our 2024 AGM. The present Committee Members

were re-elected for the coming year. 190 members attended the AGM and monthly meeting which was the largest attendance we have had for a meeting.

Following the AGM, Richard Mathers one of our members who is also the Deputy Retail Manager for the football club store gave a presentation on the new products and ranges for the new season. Richard had brought some samples for us to see. He was pleased to announce that the Senior Tigers can receive 10% off all non-sale stock in the stadium store on producing their Senior Tigers membership card. The offer will be available to members on a meeting day starting from our September meeting. The store will stay open on that day until 4.30 pm if required.

Allen was delighted to announce that Colin Smith one of our members had just been awarded a National Service Award for his involvement with grassroots football. Congratulations Colin.

This month, we were lucky to have Tim Walter as our guest speaker the new head coach of Hull City. Richard our resident interviewer welcomed Tim in German and explained what the Senior Tigers are all about. Tim talked about his style of football and his philosophy. Richard asked him, when things are not going well do you have a ‘Plan B’ which made us all laugh. Tim’s reply was to do ‘Plan A’ better. If you have a philosophy you don’t change it. Tim knows that the Championship is a tough league but it is just the same as the Bundesliga. Tim gave us insight into his career in his home country of Germany and how he came to be here at Hull City.

Pat thanked Tim for coming and how delighted we were that he was our first guest of the new season. Pat wished him success on behalf of the members and said if you produce the goods we will cheer.

The raffle raised £362.50. Richard Mathers donated two football shirts from the selection he had brought to the meeting.
