James Chester took time out on Thursday afternoon to pay the Senior Tigers a visit.
He spoke of his career to-date, starting with his time at Manchester United (working under ex-Tiger Warren Joyce), before discussing his various loan spells up until the moment Nigel Pearson brought him to the KC Stadium on a permanent deal back in 2011. James then took questions from the floor on his time with the Tigers so far.
Gordon Towse of the Senior Tigers said, “For James to drive back over from Manchester on a rare day off to see us is fantastic, and we’re all made up that he came down. He gave a great account of his career so far, and provided us with a few laughs along the way.”
James said, “I really enjoyed having a chat with everybody today. I was amazed at the turnout; there were plenty of people there. They’ve told me I need to get on to the other lads to visit them now, and I’m sure they’d love to.”
On behalf of James and all at the club, we would like to thank everybody who came down. The Senior Tigers meet on the first Thursday of every month throughout the football season.
