November 16th and 17th Outing to Drax
We had 67 members wanting to go on this visit but only 40 were allowed on each tour, so we split it over two days.
Firstly we had a ‘classroom talk’, which was very informative and then split into 2 groups, one walking through the biomass plant, while the other half took a minibus tour outside. Then we changed over. I think we were all amazed at the size of the area – and I think that everyone enjoyed the experience.
Afterwards, we went to the Percy Arms at Airmyn for a lovely home cooked lunch.
