The season opened with news that the present Committee were to retire at the end of the season and the search began for a new Committee.
The September meeting saw a visit from LlAM ROSENIOR together with his lovely wife, followed in October by the Tigers Captain, CURTIS DAVIES. In November, we welcomed KEITH EDWARDS who had just had his book published, whilst December saw a well attended Christmas Lunch. In January, we were pleased to welcome NEIL MANN who was over from Australia. ALEX BRUCE provided a good meeting in February, followed by a welcome return of MARK GREAVES in March. By this time a new Committee was in the process of being formed. In April IAN ASHBEE paid a return visit and the new Committee was introduced to the members. The May lunch was again successful, with the outgoing Committee taken by surprise with gifts from the members which was much appreciated. We once again had the welcome sponsorship from Acklams Coaches, whilst donations of £500 each were made to the Teenage Cancer Trust and CRY (Heart Charity in memory of Josh Fell).
We must place on record the great help we have received from FRANK DONOGHUE in getting our speakers. The team from Tiger Events of DAN, HENRY and KATIE have looked after our meeting arrangements whilst we have had publicity for our meetings from GAZ (website) and ASH (PA and scoreboard). With a new Committee now in place, this will be my last review and I have to thank all the support we have had from you, the members, since Senior Tigers began. Last, but not least, I must pay tribute to all the retiring Committee who have helped so much, during the 15 years together, to progress the Senior Tigers. I am pleased to stand down knowing the Senior Tigers will be continuing and I look forward to sitting in the Audience in the future. Thank you all very much for your support.
