Our season of meetings had a wide variety of speakers and some very well attended meetings. Sadly, the events at the end of the season cast a big cloud over everything involving Hull City.
We began in September with STEVE WALSH followed by a very interesting and entertaining visit from Seamus McDonagh, the then goalkeeping coach. This was followed in November by the then Chief Scout, DAVID MILLS together with DAVID BOND, with the usual lunch in December in the company of ADAM PEARSON. January saw RICHARD GARCIA visit us, with the evergreen JOHN McSEVENEY in February. MALCOLM SHOTTON was the guest in March with KEVIN KILBANE in APRIL. Sadly, we did not have any guests at the May lunch due to the events off the field. However, the season gave us one of our best with excellent speakers.
Once again our Sponsorship included donations to the Youth team and to the Tigers Trust, which were much appreciated. We hope in the future we will be able to continue with these donations.
Our meetings have been greatly assisted by the help of a number of people. FRANK DONOGHUE has been our link in getting players and backroom staff to visit us, whilst the girls of the EVENTS TEAM have ensured our meetings and meals have gone smoothly. MATT has provided our news in the programme and GAZ. has helped on the website. As ever, Bill SHIRLEY has been a willing help with the PA system. My thanks also go to the rest of the Committee and to those who helped with the refreshments and raffle. Finally,I must acknowledge all the help ADAM PEARSON has given us from the Boothferry Park days until the end of the season events. The ready assistance he provided will be a lasting memory of his days with the Tigers.
