In place of our monthly members meeting on Thursday 7th December, we held our annual pre-Christmas lunch in the Kingston Suite at the MKM Stadium. 188 attended the lunch which included members and invited guests.
Towards the end of our meal, Justin Walker, Liam Rosenior’s No.2 joined us for an interview with Richard Beachell. It was interesting to listen to Justin talk about his playing career and his time so far at our football club.
We then had a general knowledge quiz presented by our very own quizmaster who is one of our walking footballers.
Following the quiz, we held our special Christmas raffle which raised a fantastic £778.00. We were so lucky that all the raffle prizes had been donated. Special thanks must go to Acklams Coaches for their very generous prize donation and thanks also to KCOM and the football club for each of their great donations.
We had on display a selection of lovely table covers and bags some of which were Christmas themed. They were all handmade by a lady known to one of our members. Nothing was priced, just a small donation was required to purchase them. This raised £182.00 and will be given to a local charity. The charity, once chosen will be relayed to our members.
